Maybe we’ve become the stylish aunties or Oscar De La Renta is catching the eye of millennials. Either way, we’re in love with the latest ODLR Spring ’22 collection. The collection is packed with head-turning statement pieces, bright colors, a variety of styles and sexy floral on nude moments. Not only did we compile a list of our favorite Spring dresses from the collection, we styled them for you.
There are two things that can really set a dress off and that’s the print detail and the level of the waistline. Oscar De La Renta understood the assignment with the Mikado Drop Waist Dress. This is a major Spring time wardrobe staple and can easily transition from a brunch outing to a dinner outing. We styled this midi dress with white, Jimmy Choo boots. For the bag, we thought the emerald, Bottega Veneta purse would perfectly bring out the green, floral detail in this dress.
The Strawberry and Vine Sequin dress was no surprise. You can always catch faux nude dresses in Oscar De La Renta collections from season to season. This one is for the ultimate party girl with the private lounge invite, looking to set the tone for the night. This dress would pair perfectly with black, leather thigh-high boots and a biker jacket worn across your shoulders to magnify the edgy-glam theme already going on. Grab a silver or platinum colored clutch, rock some loose, messy curls and you’re ready to go.
Every girl should have a ballerina-esque dress as a wardrobe statement piece for those good leg days. ODLR Strapless Draped Detail Cocktail Dress is the perfect wedding guest dress, especially if you’re hoping to catch the bouquet. It’s giving bad Barbie with a dose of sweetness. On the shoes, we decided to keep the amber, tangerine going and selected this Bottega Veneta pump, providing comfort and style. Toss your lippies and cell phone in this pink, Bottega Veneta clutch for some color blocking and contrast on textures. Pull your hair back into a low, long ponytail and make sure your baby hairs are popping.
We really loved this number because it gave a hot, new twist to the t-shirt dress. This dress has layers, pleats and dimension and can be worn in several ways, dressy or casual. The gorgeous, gorgeous girls favorite Givenchy ankle boots comes in raffia, making them the perfect Spring time boots. Add this multi-color Versace raffia tote for a relaxed but fashion-forward look. Further accessorize with this Mirabel Sun Hat. You will be the hottest thang walking in a white midi and every girl will think so.
We absolutely love setting ourselves apart with dramatic looks but sometimes less is more and that’s definitely the case with ODLR’s Sleeveless Jewel Neck Dress. NET-A-PORTER has this black, leather waist belt that will not only cinch your waist in this dress but will give this dress a new story. On foot duty, we chose this Dolce & Gabbana pointed-toe strap heel. Continue the leather scheme with the Fendi-First leather bag in black.
Derby season is upon us and Oscar De La Renta won’t let us forget it with the Floral Ombre Theadwork Dress. We’re in love with the strappy white shoe modeled in the picture, so we chose our favorite one by CULT GAIA, the crystal ball-like heel is everything and a conversation piece by itself. Instead of the traditional Derby hat, we opted for a white, wide brim hat. Yes, keep it lady-like during the races but let the girls know who’s boss. Bring out the dark orange Ombre with this Dior bag.
A favorite in this Spring collection is the Magnolia Sequin Blouse and Skirt, but while the ladies are grabbing their favorite pump to wear with this set, you’re wearing these Fendi Combat Boots, because you’re a fashion killer. I know you think this is a bit risky, but you just have to trust us on this one. Jacquemus in black is the state purse of the night, paired with ODLR Coin Earrings. They are TO DIE FOR! I thought I loved the LV version of these until now. Throw on some black cat-eye shaped shades and you’re ready for date night.
