Queen Beyonce’ kicked off black history month with a long-anticipated announcement. Fans received confirmation that Bey’ will indeed go on tour this Summer when Beyoncé’s team dropped The Renaissance World Tour dates.
The Renaissance World Tour will be Beyonce’s first solo tour in almost seven years. The Formation World Tour, where Beyonce performed her sixth studio album, Lemonade, kicked off in April 2016.
Beyonce’s Renaissance album hit streaming platforms on July 29, 2022. An iconic contribution to House music, the album features New Orleans Bounce artist, Big Freedia, Grace Jones, BEAM, and Tems. This project is the first of its kind coming from Beyonce.
In the album, you can hear Bey testing out her New Orleans accent and the sampling of New Orleans sound, Bounce. Big Freddia and producer Black N Mild collaborated on the album and turned ‘Break My Soul’ into an ass-shaking hit. If you fell in love with ‘Church Girl’ you can hear rephrased bars from New Orleans-own DJ Jimi’s ‘Where they at.’’
The tour will complete in New Orleans, LA at the Caesar Superdome on September 27, 2023. We’re expecting Beyonce to bring out Big Feedia in her hometown.
